Senior Quality Officer

The Role

Reporting into the Quality Manager, responsibilities include:

• Liaising with internal and external stakeholders to address quality issues, determining root cause
• Daily quality inspections including testing, quality checks, CCP monitoring, GMP audits and calibration and implementing corrective actions
• Educate and engage staff in relation to quality standards, GMP requirements, corrective action procedures, process control and Food Safety Culture
• Daily quality activities including line walks, product release, monitoring retention samples and issuing quality documentation
• Conduct sampling, product and environmental testing for microbiological, allergen, hygiene and chemical testing as per the schedule
• Assist with management of the HACCP support programs and improvement of the Quality Management System including participation in 3rd party and internal audits

Your Background

In order to be successful in this role, you will:

• 5 years minimum experience in a Quality Assurance role
• Food manufacturing or manufacturing experience and knowledge
• HACCP, GMP, QMS experience
• Audit / Inspection coordination experience
• HACCP qualification desirable
• Tertiary qualifications in Science, Food Technology, Microbiology or related
• Customer certification and Customer Audit (internal and external)
• Understanding of legislative requirements (Environment).
• Intermediate computer skills and proficient in excel, word, outlook, and access
• Can develop and present reports and presentations
• Team player and ability to influence and collaborate
• Continuous improvement mind set

Salary package: $90-95,000 Base Plus Super
