Follow the link to find out what its like to live, work and play in our wonderful region:About the role:The Specialist Oncologist will be required to provide medical oncology services to both inpatients and ambulatory care patients of GV Health and outreach hospital service.Responsibilities will include some on call duties, outpatient clinics and assessment of patients at the Day Treatment Unit. The Medical Oncologist is required to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team, to take an active part in teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate levels as well as ongoing research activities.Successful candidate will have:

• Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency as a Medical Practitioner, Specialist in Medical Oncology
• Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians or equivalent by examination in Medical Oncology
• Excellent clinical skills and able to perform well as individual and as part of the Medical Oncology team
• Trained in Good Clinical Practice and other aspects of clinical trial conduct
• Effective communication skills and the ability to engage successfully with patients, relatives and colleagues
