An opportunity exists for an apprentice to join our team at Coastal Flooring & Design
We are a Timber Flooring installation business, specialising in all aspects of custom flooring & design for High End & Custom Builders. Quality is our focus for all work that we perform.
We are looking for someone who is highly motivated and able to practise efficiency and show great initiative, with demonstrated abilities in a hands-on role, and have a common-sense approach.
Our Scope of works on our projects include:
- Sub-Floor Preparation (Including Concrete Levelling, Anchoring to Concrete, Tile Removal, Moisture Barriers, and Concrete Grinding), Removal of Skirtings & Architraves
- Insurance work (Removal of existing damaged flooring and installation of new)
- Specialised Parquetry Flooring Installation - such as Herringbone, Chevron, Versailles, Basketweave, Custom designs request by clients
- Solid Timber and Engineered Installations
- Staircase Covering
Applicants must have the following:
- Drivers licence (or must be able to get too and from work, and be working on getting Ps)
- White card (or willing to get it)
- Basic knowledge of hand tools/ power tools
- Commitment and enthusiasm with a genuine interest in flooring installation, knowledge of timber species
- Physically fit and capable (strong knees and back as bending down constantly)
