The Protocol and Program branch is responsible for the delivery of the official Government House program. The Team is responsible for policy, protocol and logistical matters as well as providing direct support to the Governor, Governor's Spouse, and the Official Secretary on a day-to-day basis.Duties
- Thoroughly research and provide a first drafts in support of keynote addresses, speeches and speaking points for use by the Governor.
- Thorough research and provide first drafts of messages and statements from the Governor for inclusion in a wide variety of publications for a variety of organisations.
- Use exemplary written, researching, organisational skills and eye for detail to ensure information is accurate and appropriate and meets expectations.
- Prepare background material for official regional and overseas travel undertaken by Governor on behalf of the State of Victoria.
- Develop and maintain briefing materials on current issues relevant to the work of the Governor and the Office of the Governor.
- Contribute collaboratively with other members of the Office of the Governor to provide surge support and resources to other areas of the Office as required.
- Contribute to the archival processes of the Office of the Governor.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships and ongoing communication with stakeholders both internal and external to the Office of the Governor, as well as within the community and private sectors, in line with the values of the Office.
- Other duties as required.
