About the Role:Reporting to the Head of Development, the Sponsorship Coordinator is responsible for provision of a range of sponsorship coordination services for the Botanic Gardens and State Herbarium. This includes liaising and planning with corporate partners, servicing sponsorship agreements, writing and editing a variety of communications including the preparation of sponsorship proposals.
The Sponsorship Coordinator positions the Gardens as an internationally significant cultural and scientific institution and will support the Botanic Gardens and State Herbarium’s botanical collections, services, events and programs by increasing sponsorship revenue.
The role works collaboratively with colleagues across the institution, and DEW to ensure corporate activities and products conform to Departmental and Government policies and protocols.

Contract:
Contract for up to 3 years
Desirable Qualifications:
- Relevant qualifications and/or experience in marketing, events and communications or similar field is highly desirable.
- Experience in implementing sponsorship plans, deploying user research, measurement and evaluation, and creating engaging proposals for a broad range of organisations.
- Professional writing skills and event coordination skills.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain networks and relationships with a range of key internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to engage and work collaboratively across all programme areas. Demonstrated capability to distil complex ideas for a wide range of audiences.
- Knowledge of cultural and collections-based institutions.
Special Conditions:
- May be required to work outside of the normal work hours, including on weekends.
- May be required to undertake intrastate/interstate travel.
- May be required to participate in fire management and associated duties.
- This role has been designated as a Position of Trust pursuant to the standards required in the Australian Government Protective Security Policy Framework. - This role has functions pertaining to working with children and is prescribed under the Children’s Protection Act, 1993 as requiring a Working With Children Check (WWCC). Remuneration:
ASO4, $75,430 min - $79,070 max p.a., pro rata for part time hours.
