About us
A vibrant and busy Christian educational community, Yirara College provides a wide range of teaching and Recreational programs for its students. Come and work with a culturally diverse community, offering both academic and the boarding program to its students who come from remote communities throughout the Northern Territory and beyond.
The Role
This role involves delivering and coordinating sporting and Recreational activities for students outside of normal school hours. This role provides support and assistance to the Heads of Boarding and Houseparent's in guiding and supervising students.
Effective communication with students and boarding staff is crucial for the Sport & Recreation Officer. This role also collaborates with external sporting and Recreation bodies to offer students a wide range of positive experiences.
About you
- Must have or be able to acquire Ochre Card and Police check
- Strong supportive administrative skills.
- Interpersonal relations, Leadership, supervising and supporting others in their personal development.
- Planning, time management, and problem solving.
- Direct and coordinate large group activities
