Sport & Recreation Officer

• Permanent full-time
• Based at the Koroit Blackwood Centre
• Monthly RDO

This position will work closely with local sporting clubs and committees and associations to promote good governance and educative processes that promote a safe and inclusive environment and encourage active participation across Moyne Shire.

The applicant will be an excellent communicator with both internal and external stakeholders and will preferably have Local Government experience.

The successful applicant will be familiar with the management requirements for aquatic facilities. Their strong report writing, policy development, grant application and budget monitoring skills will assist the successful applicant to succeed in this exciting opportunity.

To be successful in this role you will need

Qualifications

Essential 

-Qualification in a relevant degree or diploma, relevant work skills, or commensurate experience for the job requirements are all acceptable.

-Current Victorian Drivers Licence

-Employee Working with Children’s Check

Experience

Essential

-Experience working with relevant legislation, particularly regarding incorporated bodies, licencing requirements, and facility management.

Key selection criteria 1 

Demonstrated use of relevant technology for report writing and budget management.

Key selection criteria 2 

Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a variety of stakeholders such as community sporting committees and associations.

Key selection criteria 3

Demonstrated experience in development of funding submissions, policy development and project management.

Applications that fail to address the above key selection criteria will not be considered for this position.
