Incredible opportunity as a part-time Sports Coach!
We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Sports Coach to facilitate our sports programs that align with our philosophy of holistic education for children. This role involves evaluating and providing coaching and development across all areas of the Physical Literacy Framework, ensuring children’s safety and promoting lifelong health and wellbeing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Motivates children to develop skills and habits that promote lifelong health and wellbeing
- Encourages safe sport and play practices with children ensuring they understand rules and expectations at all times
- Builds strong relationships with children to help develop their engagement with the sports program
- Works collaboratively with the Lead Sports Coordinator, OSHC Manager and other educators to enhance and build on the existing sports program
- Communicates clearly and respectfully with management, educators, children and families ensuring any concerns are managed professionally and in accordance with service policies and procedures
- Ensures that sports equipment is treated respectfully by educators and children and returned in working order with completed inventory checklist when handed back
- Provide weekly updates for social media to OSHC Manager including linking the activities to the MTOP and Physical Literacy Framework elements
About You:
You are a dedicated Sports Coach with a passion for working with children aged 5 to 12 years old. You enjoy helping kids develop their physical skills and promoting lifelong health and wellbeing. You are a positive role model who is enthusiastic, engaging, and supportive. You work well in a team, always ready to take initiative and think creatively. You prioritize safety and strive to deliver high-quality sports programs that align with our holistic education philosophy. - Flexibility with hours between 2.00pm - 6.00pm, Monday to Friday
- Working with Children Check
- National Criminal Check
- First Aid & CPR (or be willing to obtain)
