The Opportunity
Reload Media is looking for a talented sports journalist to work on an exciting new client project where all you'll do is immerse yourself in the world of sports & entertainment writing.
This is an initial part-time 3 month contract position either in our Brisbane office or in a remote arrangement, with potential for contract extension pending client and project requirements.
The Details
In this role, you'll be working alongside our internal multi-disciplinary team working on a large-scale client project in the sports & entertainment industry. We'll own the strategic direction, but we need someone who has a serious passion for sport and always has their finger on the pulse (think: always refreshing Fox Sports) to document the latest and greatest happenings in Aussie sport as they happen.
To be successful in this role, you:
- Are first and foremost a lover of all sports & entertainment (perhaps even borderline obsessed!)
- Are able to produce written content in a variety of formats that will engage a digital audience
- Have outstanding written and communication skills, with a proven ability to produce factually correct and editorially responsible content
- Possess exemplary project management skills, and are able to manage your own workload autonomously
- Excel under pressure, and can pivot and produce high quality work under time constraints when required
- Have creative flair, whilst able to write to a client's brand guidelines and tone of voice
- Are able to spot story opportunities, and have the confidence to back your ideas
- Are able to promptly cover weekend sports coverage as required (built into the scope of weekly work of course!)
- Love feedback and critiques, and possess a strong growth mindset
- Have a degree in Journalism, Communications or similar
- Have some degree of previous experience in digital journalism

What we'll offer you
You'll be offered an initial 3 month, part-time contract to work exclusively on this project - with the option for an additional extension pending project requirements.
Salary: Competitive based on experience
