Sports Physiotherapist

Looking for a future in Sports Physio? We are looking for a keen Sports Physiotherapist who is passionate about working as the Head Physiotherapist for one of our AFL clubs and managing our athletic population. This includes rehab of athletes from the acute post-op period through to the final stages of return to play. 

Experienced APA titled sports and senior physiotherapists who have worked at the State, National and International level in various sports, can mentor you and help you reach your career goals.  

Requirements

With the rapid growth of our Physiotherapy Clinic over the past few years it’s time we invited another experienced Physio to join our team. Working directly with our senior staff you will have the chance to implement evidence-based Physiotherapy, while enjoying a great day-to-day culture with our amazing team.  The role is dynamic and we offer training and supervision in areas that you would like to learn or up-skill in.  

The position is full-time or part-time and requires covering one AFL game on Saturdays. This position is ideal for someone with experience working with sporting team and in private practice, who is self-motivated and passionate about sports physiotherapy. Our clinic is modern, bright and has the latest technologies i.e. VALD Performance, real time ultrasound, Pilates Equipment and more. We have a strong emphasis on manual therapy coupled with exercise prescription to maximise patient outcomes. 

What we are looking for: 

• Clinical experience of two years+ but the willingness to learn is even better 
• The ability to work autonomously, with a high level of attention to detail and excellent communication, and customer service skills. 
• Experience in private practice and sports physiotherapy will be highly regarded. 

Your day to day: 

• Your caseload will predominately be Sports and Musculoskeletal, but also include a range of Orthopaedic rehabilitation post-surgery. We rehab a lot of ACLs from the acute phase through to the end stages of 'return to performance'. 
• Your case load will be incredibly diverse and interesting. We offer Hydrotherapy, Clinical Equipment Exercise Classes including Pilates and the GLA:D program. 
• We provide sports coverage for local football teams so afternoons/evenings and Saturday work would be required in season.
