Job Description

We are looking for two 9Now Sports Content Programmers to help deliver the Live and onDemand 9Now platform curation strategy across the Paris 2024 Olympic Games and the Paralympic Games.

The successful candidates will work across a 24/7 rotating roster and be available for the duration of both events, including weekends as required.

These are brand new positions and a unique career opportunity for someone looking to play an integral part in the delivery of the Summer Olympic and Paralympic Games, available live and free on 9Now

Day to day responsibilities include but won’t be limited to:

  • Curate and manage the layout of Sports Live,VOD and TV series content on the 9Now homepage and individual Sports landing pages across Web, Apps and Connected TV Devices.
  • Make fast-paced editorial decisions on where to place breaking news, features and business-priority Sports content.
  • Feedback priorities to Video editorial team based on audience trends and insights
  • Check and sub-edit multimedia content to tight deadlines, ensuring it is in keeping with the 9Now and Wide World of Sports editorial style and formats.
  • Use available analytics tools to optimise homepage and Sports landing page layout for all video content.
  • Responsible for copywriting and overseeing titles, subtitles and descriptions for all 9Now on platform Sports programming & sub-editing where required.
  • Apply SEO and homepage publishing strategies to maximise reach of all content.
  • Work with Marketing on push notification strategy to drive audience engagement.
  • Report on content performance to stakeholders, identifying audience trends and behaviours across Live and Video onDemand content.
  • Assisting content teams deliver to editorial deadlines as necessary
  • Assisting to achieve operational readiness across 9Now Content and Operational teams.

Qualifications

What we would like to see on your resume:

  • Be available from latest June 1st until mid September
  • Able to work weekends and nights when required.
  • A deep understanding of Sports television and BVOD market
  • Strong editorial and curation skills, with ability to identify content that will engage with audiences
  • Demonstrated effective copywriting
  • Experience in content curation and content management
  • Analytical and critical thinking skills, and experience with ratings / other performance metrics
  • Ability to analyse trends and report and act on them using data and analytics
  • Experience using content management systems
  • Time management and ability to prioritise
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Demonstrated ability to plan and implement data driven programing stunts and strategies
