We are currently seeking a skilled Spray Painter with experience in surface finishing Metal Fabrication, preferably including APAS (Australian Paint Approval Scheme) and military specification (MILSPEC). The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, a thorough understanding of coating techniques, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.Key Responsibilities:Prepare surfaces for coating by cleaning, masking, and sanding as required.
Apply coatings using various techniques including spray painting, ensuring uniform coverage and desired finish.
Adhere to APAS and MILSPEC requirements for surface preparation and coating application.
Monitor equipment performance and report any maintenance issues promptly.
Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure safety and efficiency.
Collaborate with colleagues to meet production deadlines and quality standards.
Requirements:Proven experience as a Spray Painter in a Metal Fabrication environment.
Familiarity with APAS and MILSPEC standards for surface finishing preferred.
Experience in abrasive blasting techniques is highly desirable.
Strong attention to detail and quality craftsmanship.
Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
