UGL's maintenance business based at our operation in Broadmeadow, Newcastle NSW and we are looking for Spray Painters supporting out Locomotive builds and other site projects.
This role will be offered on a permanent full-time basis paid under UGLs Newcastle Operations Enterprise Agreement working on a 9-day fortnight with every second Friday off, hours are Monday - Thursday 5.30am - 2.30pm and the Friday you do work is 5.00am - 1.30pm
About the role
Reporting to the Service Delivery Manager this role will see you working on a Locomotive new build completing the following activities.
- Preparation of steel, aluminium, and fibreglass
- Ability to perform varies application processes with the use of Brush, roller and conventual spray.
- Ability to apply Hi build epoxy, Acrylic urethane, catalysed acrylic and enamel paints
- Able to follow and paint to specification
- Detailed masking experience required
- Follow drawings to custom design specification
- Working at heights
- Decal application experience preferred but not essential
- Sand blasting experience preferred but not essential
- Sika flex application
About You
- Trade certificate and certificate of proficiency- Automotive refinisher or Industrial blast paint
- Comfortable with working at heights
- Ability to be able to perform the above roles efficiently
- Able to follow direction
- Ability to work to a fast-paced production schedule
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Able to adapt and think outside the box.
- Good organisational skills
