THE COMPANY

Brown’s Fertilisers is a well-established retail brand of Ameropa Australia, with four locations throughout Gippsland and North Eastern Victoria. Our offering is based on providing quality advice and services through our qualified agronomists and exceptional operations team into local dairy, beef, sheep and horticulture markets.

Brown’s offers services in three different operational areas:

• Depot operations, including bagging and blending services.
• Fertiliser and lime spreading on farm.
• Road trucks and logistics.

We are seeking a Full-time truck based Spreader Driver at our Maffra depot.

THE JOB

Reporting to the Depot Manager, your primary role will be to provide fertiliser spreading services and provide truck driving support for the Maffra depot as required. You will be a key contributor to a small team with a strong focus on customers, safety, environment and health.  To be considered for this position you will need to have the following capabilities:

• Experience in safe driving and operation of Fertiliser Spreaders, heavy vehicles and preferably front-end loaders.
• Proven strong safety management and safety compliance background.
• Experience in on-farm delivery of bulk, containerised and bagged products via trucks desirable but not essential.
• Expertise in the storage, handling and dispatching of stock in a safe manner.
• Hold a current HR Victoria Driver’s licence.
• Assist with the general maintenance of the depot building, plant and around the site.
• A continuous improvement mindset.

The successful candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills and experience working in a team environment, experience in safe fertiliser spreading and be self-motivated and proactive.
