AddressActive is looking to appoint an SQL Report Developer to be based in Adelaide or Sydney
The role
This role reports to the Reporting Manager. Working in the reporting team, collaborating with Analysts to deliver reporting solutions. Leveraging relational database knowledge and core Business Intelligence best practices to provide a solid foundation to support analysts in developing and serving reports that support operational and management decision making processes.
In this role you will:
- Develop, maintain, and optimize SQL databases, tables, views, stored procedures, and functions.
- Design and implement efficient and accurate ETL processes for data extraction, transformation, and loading
- Develop and improve solutions spanning data processing activities into SSAS
- Develop and improve Microsoft Analysis Services cubes (tabular and dimensional)
- Work with cloud based solutions such as Azure/Fabric
- Be proficient in MDX and DAX
- Assist analysts with the design, development, and maintenance of interactive dashboards and reports using industry-leading BI tools. Work with the reporting team to deliver on the reporting strategy.
- Work closely with other analysts, developers and other stakeholders to deliver on required reporting. Track all work in Jira
- Effectively communicate with stakeholders on the delivery of reports.
- Monitor database performance, conduct regular performance tuning, and recommend optimization strategies. Identify and resolve data quality issues, performance bottlenecks, and other database-related problems. Implement and enforce data security measures, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards. Document database structures, processes, and procedures for future reference and knowledge sharing

What we are looking for
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- Experience in the Vegetation Management industry highly desirable.
- Proven experience as an SQL and reporting Developer
- Proficiency in SQL programming, database design, and optimization techniques
- Solid experience with ETL processes and tools
- Understand and experience with Microsoft BI Stack (specifically Azure, PowerBI, SSRS, SSIS & SSAS)
- Possess a strong understanding of data visualisation best practices, data modelling concepts, and have hands-on experience with BI reporting tools such as Power BI
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, cross teams with a mix of technical areas as well as non-technical operations and management
- Familiarity with data modelling and database administration
