About the Team
SSI will work with you in finding you a placement with local Not for Profit organisations to complete your Cert 1 in Workplace Skills. We will support you as you learn business skills and grow your confidence.
About You
Trainees will be required to undertake a Certificate I in Workplace Skills as part of the Skilling Queenslanders for Work Program. Trainees will be required to carry out tasks related to office administration, clerical support and office support whilst under supervision by their Host Employer and consistent with learning progression. The trainees will also be required to implement and deliver a group project, as led by their Program Coordinator. You will also be required to complete learning and assessment outcomes required for the traineeship.

Responsibilities:
- Attend the workplace on all days within the required hours as agreed between SSI and the Host Employer and complete and submit accurate documentation to the SQW Program Coordinator by the timeframes designated.
- Undertake and complete all required theory and practical assessment tasks as required under the traineeship program
- Provide administrative and clerical support to the Host Employer supervisor, which include any recording keeping and filing systems, respond to any general enquiries and telephone calls in a professional and friendly manner.
- Attend and participate in all and any group workshops, training events and/or professional development activities as directed by the SQW Program Coordinator.
- Follow SSI and the Host Employers direction including their organization policies and procedures and workplace instructions.
- Participate in any on-the-job training.
Essential Criteria
- Must have completed year 10 of secondary school
- Genuine interest in working in a business
- Ability to work as part of team and ability to be able to interact with a diverse range of people
- Positive attitude
