Our product vision is to create the most loved digital home loan in Australia. To do this, we need great product-lead experienced engineers, supported to build a great digital product experience.
The role
We are looking for a smart, driven, and resilient full stack Typescript engineer who loves delivering customer and business solutions in a collaborative, iterative and simple manner. TypeScript is our go-to language, and we use it across our stack, so you'll need to be proficient at it.
You'll be reporting directly to the Engineering Manager and will be a contributor within a growing engineering team.
Your skills and experience
- 8+ years of experience in TypeScript, GraphQL, React, React Native and building with modern practices is a must.
- Experience in frameworks - React and React native is a must.
- Experience in backend technology - Nodejs is a must.
- Experience with build tools, improve the system.
- Experienced with infrastructure development - Azure.
- Experience leading a team in designing, building scalable, secure software systems.
- Experience providing technical leadership, mentorship, pairing opportunities, and code reviews to encourage the growth of other engineers.
- Experience developing testable and observable systems - TDD, Jest, Playwright
- You love autonomy and like to take ownership of problems, see your efforts translate into outcomes that resonate with a user / customer.
- You learn through sharing and reading thought leaders in your community.
- Preferably, a background in Financial Services organisation.
Desired Skills:
- Have a product-oriented mindset and be able to work closely with product managers to understand the needs of the end-users.
- Passionate about fostering effective Engineering practices and processes.
- Proficiency with Git and GitHub.
- Knowledge of API architecture patterns (we use microservices).
- Some exposure to DevOps practices and tooling (CDK, Terraform, Docker etc).
- Experience deploying multi-environment applications within a major cloud provider (azure)
- Experience in the financial services industry.
