Staff Specialist - Anaesthetics

We are seeking the services of a Staff Specialist Anaesthetist to provide specialist anaesthesia treatment and care for public and private patients with on call services in a permanent full time capacity, working days shifts for 76 hours per fortnight plus participation in the on-call roster.

Essential & Desirable requirements

• Specialist or limited registration with the Medical Board of Australia
• Fellowship of the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists or equivalent as determined in accordance with International Medical Graduates clinical practice assessment requirements of ANZCA

Hospital and Location

A modern 160 bed secondary level hospital providing emergency and specialist services to North West Tasmania and King Island. It offers services in medical, surgical and allied health through inpatient and outpatient departments.  The hospital caters for the emergency resuscitation, surgery and intensive care of most trauma patients and other medical conditions.  The hospital covers a population area of approximately 116,000 and hosts the Rural Clinical School of the University of Tasmania.
