The PositionThe Department of Surgery at the Mackay Base Hospital are looking for two General Surgery - Staff Specialist's to join their team on a Permanent Full-Time basis. Special interest in Colorectal / Upper GI or Abdominal wall desirable but not essential.Health ServiceMackay Hospital and Health Service Mackay is a vibrant regional centre in tropical North Queensland, servicing a population of over 180,000. Families are well serviced by a choice of high quality schools and a wide range of sporting clubs with excellent facilities.Essential CriteriaMandatory possession of a medicine degree from a registered tertiary institution and;Registration with the Medical Board of Australia with Specialist registration in Surgery or appropriate registration with the Medical Board of Australia to practise in the specialist position and;Fellowship or eligibility for Fellowship via the substantial comparability pathway of the Royal Australian and College of Surgeons (RACS).Mandatory possession of a qualification from a registered tertiary institution and Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency with a current annual practicing certificate is essential.The PackageTotal remuneration value of up to $514,452 (L27) is comprised of: A salary between $244,201 - $258,910 (L25-L27) Total remuneration value of up to $470,780 (L24) is comprised of: A salary between $204,206 - $237,196 (L18-L24) Other Benefits Include:12.75% employer superannuation contribution 17.5% leave loading is paid for 4 weeks leave Generous Salary Sacrificing (conditions apply) Professional Development Leave 3.6 weeks p.a.
