About the RoleWe are seeking applications for mulitple casual Stage Managers. Reporting to the Events Manager, you will provide hands-on, professional and client-focused stage management services to QPAC’s venue hirers. This position requires a high-calibre individual who is suitably experienced and qualified in stage management.
The hours of work in this role will be primarily theatre-based and availability will be required for day, evening and weekend shifts, including extended periods, to service venue hirers’ schedules.
In this role you will:
- Stage-manage rehearsals, productions and events across QPAC’s multiple venues.
- Be responsible for supervising Assistant Stage Managers.
- Participate in production meetings.
- Liaise with clients and disseminate pertinent information to ensure the smooth presentation of performances.
- Display a high level of customer service in conjunction with the ability to interpret clients’ production, stage management, dressing room, orchestral and technical requirements.
To be successfull in this role, we are looking for:
- A high degree of initiative.
- Exceptional communication and time management skills.
- Extensive knowledge of theatre practices and the ability to lead and marshal large numbers of technicians, performers and musicians.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and efficiently within high-pressure and time-sensitive live theatre environments.
