We are seeking a proactive and dynamic Regional Manager to manage and develop our NSW and NT corporate and franchise network (over 45 stores with more stores coming) through coaching, mentoring and driving growth and operational compliance. This role will have you assist with growing our customer base, increase store sales, store profitability, new store openings and managing and improving operating procedures.
A typical day in the life of a Sharetea Regional Manager will include:
- Lead and manage the Area Manager teams to develop business excellence so they can provide high-level support to the franchisee network in the region
- Improve sales through operations excellence, Local Area Marketing (LAM) and store involvement and measure success with financial metrics
- Oversee the QSC operational audits and direct follow-up visits where necessary
- Guide Franchisees / store managers in the region to access the tools to build their businesses
- Guide Franchisees / managers in the region to access the tools that assist in controlling costs
- Encourage compliance of all stores in the region as per Sharetea’s Operations manual and Franchise Agreement
- Continuously build relationships with the franchisees and team members, including regular store visits and telephone contact
- Be the point of contact for all franchisees / store managers in the region in relation to any escalated issues including operations, human resources, marketing, and supply chain
- Facilitate company and departmental directions to the network to ensure Franchisee buy-in
- Manage the opening of all new stores in the region effectively; in particular ensuring that all required training takes place according to Sharetea’s standards
- Conduct Business Development meetings once per annum with all Franchise Partners
- Work with the local site procurement and designers to ensure that new stores are opened on time to Sharetea’s requirements
- Ensure company stores achieve operational standards and profitability and manage the complete and accurate record keeping system for the region
Experience
To be successful in this role, you will need to be:
- Experienced in managing a team of business area managers
- Ability to multi-task
- Experience in liaising with different business units/departments to meet common goals and objectives
- Ability to build businesses:
- Working with franchisees / company owned stores to implement sales building initiatives
- Showing passion and enthusiasm for building businesses
- Generating ideas and having the ability to implement them
- Operations experience – worked in positions that have required:
- Adherence to operational standards
- Understanding the importance of systems and procedures
- Understanding cost structures in the food industry
- Accountability for customer experience
- Willingness to get involved i.e. ‘get hands dirty’
- Assertiveness – the ability to deal with franchisees in an assertive manner
- Ability to problem solve and act quickly
- Be an ambassador for the brand – demonstrate a passion for Sharetea
- A good communicator with all levels within company, the public and suppliers
- A great mentor, coach, and trainer
- An understanding of the unique franchisee / franchisor relationship, patience and determination – an understanding that it takes time and effort to build relationships and franchisee businesses
