About the Role:
Reporting directly to the Sales Director of Australia, your primary responsibility will be to ensure the successful execution of services provided to clients, with the aim of meeting predetermined targets and budgets for the Regional Office, specifically in relation to ANL / CMA CGM. Additionally, you will play a proactive role in crafting and executing regional sales strategies, following directives from the Sales Director of Australia.
Key responsibilities of the role will include:
- Management of the NSW Sales team using the company sales processes and tools
- Identify, secure and develop new and existing business
- Monitor customer service levels provided by ANL/CMA CGM Offices to ensure they exceed customer expectations
- To establish contact with clients and maintain concise and current customer profiles to facilitate accurate and speedy response to market activities
- Direct the preparation of annual sales budgets for the State consistent with market directions provided by the ANL / CMA CGM Commercial department, to ensure the recruitment of sufficient cargoes to assist ANL / CMA CGM achieve its corporate objectives
- Direct the preparation of Sales Plans for the State to ensure they accurately reflect business opportunities, constraints, developments, sales strategies and likely financial results for activities within the State, consistent with marketing objectives and targets
- Consult on and recommend pricing policy guidelines based on knowledge and experience of competitors and market requirements, to enhance the earning potential of the State and the profitability of ANL / CMA CGM
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications along with 8-10 years Sales experience with the last 2-4yrs in a Sales management position.
- 5-8 years experience within the shipping industry
- Customer orientated approach
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
- Strong sales technique
- Proven track record in meeting budgets
