Coordinating requests includes but is not limited to logging information on relevant databases including Riskman, obtaining relevant fees and consents/authority where applicable, photocopying and scanning where required and liaising with internal and external customers.Managing and ensuring the release of patient information in relation to state and federal legislation, patient confidentiality, disposal and retention policies whilst applying health record processes.Managing and ensuring Data Submission requirements including the extraction and submission to health funds via HCP, Private Hospital Data Bureau, Cancer Registry, Private Hospitals Inpatient Statistics Collection (PHISCo) and ANSNAP.Liaising with Accounts to ensure all invoices are paid.Engaging the Quality and Safety team to discuss requests for clarification or escalation.Liaise with Legal team when required to ensure actions align with legislation, there is transparency of those actions and risk is minimised.Ensuring the prompt completion and dispatch of health information in compliance with legislation.Provide customer service that is timely, accurate, respectful, informed and focussed on positive outcomes whilst being legislatively informed.Utilise patient administration and SMR systems and other software such as K2 Maternity and Mosaiq Oncology to ensure relevant and complete health information is provided for Medico-Legal requests.Review workflow and implement any improvements in conjunction with your ManagerABOUT MATER HOSPITALThe Mater Hospital is regarded as one of Sydney’s premier private hospitals, located in North Sydney, with expertise in a range of areas including Maternity, Orthopaedics, Cardiology and Cancer care.
