About our Team:
As the Station Assistant you will join a team of four to provide exceptional customer service and general cleaning duties at the Proserpine Train Station.
Some of the duties will include:

• Providing exceptional customer service including handling of customer luggage
• Operating station machinery and equipment
• Selling tickets at the station for the Spirit of Queensland
• General cleaning and maintenance duties of the station and bathroom facilities
• Reporting any safety concerns to the Station Master
• Assisting with general garden maintenance

Hours:
This is a permanent full-time position which generally works between the hours of 0330 to 2330.
The roster will consist of a variety of start and finish times as well as weekends and public holidays. You can expect to work every second weekend and as this role is in a linked roster you will know your roster four weeks in advance.

About you:

• The ability to work autonomously but also within a team environment
• Exceptional communication skills coupled with a customer focused attitude to ensure a positive experience for our customers
• Strong work ethic and willingness to go the 'extra mile'
• A safety conscious attitude
• Ability to undertake a variety of manual handling tasks including cleaning and lifting of heavy luggage up to 20 kilograms
• Previous cleaning experience or garden maintenance experience is desirable but not essential
• Hold a current 'C' class drivers licence - mandatory
• Be prepared to travel within your position when required (e.g. Brisbane and Rockhampton for training)
