Jumbuck are a fourth generation Australian business with large scale cattle and sheep properties throughout the country.
Following a withdrawal in our stockcamp for the upcoming season, we are looking for a 3rd YearStation Hand for Blina Station. The season commences on April 15 and will through until November 15.
Blina is located 150kms east of Derby in the Kimberley region of Western Australia. Most of the station lies between the Great Northern Highway and the Gibb River Road to the north. Well managed, resourced and maintained, Blina runs approximately 24,000 head of Brahman cattle.
This position is a senior part of the stockcamp and will report to the Head Stockperson and Station Manager.
You will be involved in all aspects of station work that includes mustering, branding, drafting, cattle education, fencing and other general station responsibilities. Mustering is done on horseback and during the season you can be expected to be camped out for lengths of time.
As Blina exclusively uses horses for stockwork, strong horsemanship experience is required.
We are keen to hear from those who are motivated, keen, take pride in their work, communicate well and are at home either working in a team or solo and be in their 3rd Year working in the northern cattle industry working on stations.
