Located to the Northeast of Newman in the central Pilbara region of Western Australia lies my client’s large scale beef cattle station where Station Hands are required to commence work in preparation for the upcoming muster. Spanning over 1-million acres, the owners of this substantial family-owned cattle station require keen, willing and able Station Hands to join their team who want to live, work and learn on the job and who can commit for the entire season commencing late May through to September 2024, and ideally beyond.
Duties will include but not be limited to:
- Mustering cattle.
- Yard work.
- Basic mechanical servicing and repairs + welding.
- Station maintenance including fencing, yard building & plumbing and mowing, and homestead yard work as required.
- Machinery operating.
- Capably ride a 2-wheel motorbike to muster cattle.
- Carry out basic mechanical servicing of a motorbike.
- Be capable of camping in the stock camp when mustering – BYO Swag.
- Commit to the end of the season.
- Current Driver’s Licence.
- To have a good attitude toward work and other staff members and willingly listen to instructions.
- To be of clean, tidy, and sober habits.
