As a Statutory Planner, you will have a chance to drive the planning and delivery of major road and water Infrastructure Projects such as pipelines, pump stations and reservoirs, as well as landfills and resource recovery, pumped hydro projects and renewable energy. As we are part of a national team, there will be opportunities for you to work with teams in other states on planning projects.
This position is based in our Sunshine Coast office, at Maroochydore.
What you'll do
- Provide planning inputs into large scale infrastructure and transport projects
- Work as a member of a project team to provide planning and approvals services (e.g. development applications, planning, environment approvals, land use planning, due diligence assessments, statutory planning, environmental assessments)
- Collaborate with clients and regulatory authorities, and foster great relationships through accurate and timely planning advice
- Assist with the preparation of proposals to secure new work for the team.

- Coomera Connector Stage 1 North
- Queensland Train Manufacturing Project
- Water and wastewater programs for local authorities and water utilities
About you
You're likely to have 3+ years experience in statutory or urban/regional planning, approvals or impact assessments, particularly on transport, water or renewable energy projects.
If you have equivalent experience in property development, government or defence sectors and are keen to deliver large scale Infrastructure Projects, we would also love to hear from you.
In addition, you will have:
- Tertiary qualifications in planning and be eligible for membership of the Planning Institute of Australia
- Strong knowledge of Queensland planning legislation, policy and reform directions
- Project management or project coordination experience
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, attention to detail
- Experience working in a consulting environment
- A passion for planning issues and desire to help shape outcomes in urban and regional areas
