Transport Service is a Group within Department of Transport & Planning, and is responsible for delivering safe, reliable and accessible transport infrastructure and services to all Victorians.
Regional Transport is a Division in Transport Services Group, and is responisble for providing better transport experience connecting regional communities, businesses and visitors.
About the Role (multiple positions available)
Places of Work - Benalla and/or Bendigo (Flexibility may be available)
The Statutory Planning Officer assesses and responds to planning permit applications referred to DTP from Councils or other State Government Departments, responding within statutory time limits to ensure the efficiency and safety of the Transport Network. Role also manages the statutory consent process under the Road Management Act 2004.

Position Outcomes
The role requires to review and allocate planning permit referrals within the Statutory Planning Team, ensuring timely assessment and response to permit applications to uphold transport network safety and efficiency. Utilize analytical skills to develop signage and consent solutions for arterial roadsides, provide transport-related land use advice to various stakeholders, assist in submissions to regulatory bodies, and oversee team performance for business improvements and outcomes.
