As a result of continue expansion and introduction of new technology, the exciting opportunity has arisen for a person to join out technical service team. Italsteel is looking for an individual with traits of either a Steel Detailer, Draftsman or Programmer, as they will help play a crucial role in optimising production workflows, enhancing project accuracy, and maintaining the high standards of quality and efficiency that define our operations.
Main duties will include:
- Proficient and capable of 3d modelling in Tekla Structures Software
- Collaborate with design and engineering teams to resolve issues and incorporate changes.
- Manage technical detail chances and produce accurate change registers.
- Optimise material usage to minimise waste and reduce costs.
- Conduct quality checks to ensure finished products meet specifications.
- Maintain accurate documentation of drawings and programming codes.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Knowledge of CNC machines, programming requirements, operational efficiencies would be highly regarded
The successful applicant will have the following skills / experience:
- AutoCAD, or a similar drafting program
- Fabrication / workshop experience
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
- The ability to analyse, and make good decisions
- Ability to work well with other team members
- Punctual with good time management
- Problem solving skills
- Reliability and honesty and good work ethic
- Excellent attention to detail
- Microsoft Office suite including Outlook, Excel, and Word
