About The Client:
WorkPac is currently seeking experienced Steel Fixers for a major construction contract for the Rio Tinto Western Range Project at their Paraburdoo site. The project will include Greenfields & Brownfields scope with the construction of a new Run of mine pad, primary crushing facility, overland conveying circuit and modification to coarse ore stockpile and downstream, conveying system. Successful candidates will work a 3:1 roster.

What You Will Be Doing:
You will be responsible for positioning and assembling steel bars and mesh sheeting with ligatures to form reinforcement for concrete structures such as concrete slabs, columns, drainage and communication pits, walls and concrete barrier structures. Steel fixing is the mould created prior to pouring the concrete. Reading and interoperating plans, assisting Concreters and Formworkers, as well as any adhoc duties required.

What You Will Need:
• Full Drivers License 
• High Risk Work Licence - Elevated Work Licence (EWP) - highly desirable
• White Card 
• At least 3 years experience in a similar role
• Full working rights (no temporary visas) 
• All candidates will need to complete Rio Tinto inductions, Aveling training and attend required VOC’s prior to mobilization.
• Absolute commitment to safety

• Excavator - highly desirable
• Loader - highly desirable
• Skid steer - highly desirable
• HR licence - highly desirable
