Responsibilities

The Stewarding Supervisor is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and organization in all areas of the workplace, particularly the kitchen and food and beverage areas. This role involves ensuring the proper handling and storage of F&B equipment and supplies/stock. The Stewarding Supervisor will support various departments and contribute to the overall efficiency and productivity of the organization.

• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness in all work areas of the kitchen and dining spaces and support housekeeping with the employee common spaces

• Clean and sanitize equipment, utensils, and dishes to meet health and safety standards

• Support with recruitment of Stewarding team, train new team members and support the Head Chef with employee matters

• Monitor and replenish supplies, such as cleaning products

• Handle waste disposal and recycling procedures in accordance with company policies

• Collaborate with other team members to ensure a smooth workflow and timely completion of tasks

• Report any maintenance or repair needs to the appropriate department

• Follow established protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe and secure work environment

• Adhere to all health and safety regulations and practices.

About you

• At least 1 year minimum in a Stewarding Supervisor position or similar

• Excellent eye for detail ensuring cleanliness is at the forefront of the teams

• Good communication and leadership skills

• Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously

• In-depth knowledge of culinary techniques and foods

• Good understanding of hygiene and food safety principles

• An innovative and creative mindset
