Role Description
As a Store Manager at StorHub, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the efficient and secure operation of our storage facility. You will oversee a team of dedicated staff, implement safety protocols, manage physical storage spaces, and continuously enhance our systems to meet customer needs. Your responsibilities encompass a wide range of duties to maintain a smooth and reliable storage service.
Key Responsibilities
- Safety Compliance: Ensure that all employees adhere to safety procedures when handling hazardous materials or equipment, fostering a culture of safety and responsibility.
- Storage Space Management: Effectively manage and maintain physical storage spaces, including evaluating customer’s needs for renting a storage space.
- Security Measures: Implement and oversee security measures to safeguard stored materials from theft or damage, utilizing cutting-edge security systems and practices.
- Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels to ensure timely availability of items, conducting regular stock checks and reordering as needed.
- Employee Training: Provide training to employees on proper storage techniques for various items as well as educating employees on customer service and sales behaviours.
- Inventory Tracking: Maintain detailed inventories of stored items using computer software applications, ensuring accurate record-keeping.
- Vendor Coordination: Collaborate with vendors to schedule pickups and deliveries of new items, optimizing logistics for efficiency.
- Insurance Management: Review records of insurance claims and settlements to determine coverage amounts, ensuring our customers' interests are protected.
About You
- Previous experience in a management role, preferably in the self-storage or related industry.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Exceptional organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Demonstrated proven ability to work towards sales targets and KPIs.
- Commitment to providing excellent customer service.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Hold a valid driver’s license.
- Flexibility to work weekends as needed including every second Saturday.
