Role available at our Byron Bay Store, opening August 18th. Training to commence July 22nd.
Blue Cow Gelato are hiring a Store Manager for the new Byron Bay Store. This role will report directly to the Operations manager.
As Store Manager, you will oversee the day to day running of the store. This role will have you managing all FOH and BOH staff, as well as making the gelato as we make it fresh, in house every day. The suitable candidate will have prior experience in a management role and will be able to hit the ground running, with a positive can-do attitude and excellent leadership skills.
Adequate training will be provided. Training will include 3 weeks of training at the Coffs Harbour store, at the expense of the company. A further one-week training will be provided at the new store with all staff prior to opening.
The gelato-making aspect of the role requires physical strength as you will be regularly lifting 12 litre buckets of product around the kitchen.
We require a candidate who can work a minimum of 40 hours per week, as we fluctuate throughout the busy summer periods. The maker shift is usually 7am to 3pm however as the Store Manager, the hours of work will rotate across weekends, evenings, and public holidays as well normal making shifts. The right candidate will be well-presented as this is also a customer facing role.
Qualifications & experience
• Strong organisational and multitasking skills with the ability to perform well in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong work ethic.
• Effective operations management with an eye for ensuring customer satisfaction.
• Any certificates in commercial cookery and/or business certificates are desirable.
Tasks & responsibilities
• Manage the day-to-day operations of the store including the Daily Takings Sheet and banking.
• Monitor staff performance, identify skill gaps & provide appropriate training.
• Advise and train staff on the delivery of excellent customer service and effective ways to resolve issues with customers.
• Ensure the highest level of cleanliness, organisation & tidiness throughout the store.
• Nurture friendly relationships with customers to increase loyalty and boost our reputation.
• Co-ordinate with vendors & head office in ordering supplies.
• Conduct monthly stocktakes.
• Complete weekly roster and Weekly Takings Report.
• Proficiency in using Outlook, Excel, Tanda (or similar rostering systems), and Square POS.
