Store Manager

We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Store Manager at our UQ St Lucia Campus Store.

Skills and Experience

• Excellent Customer service and communication skills
• Strong background in visual merchandising implementation
• Comfortable with POS and inventory management systems
• Diligent computer-based processing of sales and stock movement
• The ability to maintain the store across merchandising standards, sales execution, direction from the support office
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Record keeping/administration skills
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
• Enthusiastic and positive attitude to work
• Excellent time management skills
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work well under pressure
• Ability to meet deadlines
• At least 1 year of experience working in a retail environment is preferred.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Develop and build strong relationships with all stakeholders within the University community
• Manage and maintain staff by means of recruiting, selecting, appraising and training
• Ensuring visual merchandising standards are met across all categories 
• Ensuring all staff adhere to The School Locker Policies and Procedures
• Effective packing and storage of stock items in categories, sizes, styles etc.
• Adhere to company Key Performance Indicators (KPI) such as: 
  • Sales Budgets;
  • Wage Budgets;
  • Stocktake Results;
• Maintaining a neat and functional workplace in accordance with Occupational Health & Safety (OHS)
• Opening and closing of store, including end of day banking and settlement etc.
• Report all accidents, incidents and hazards to their Area Manager
