These include the fresh and vibrant 100 Miles (ADL), the Italian inspired pasta bar Gusto (MEL) and our own café brand BARista (PER). THIS ROLE/LOCATION
Based at Melbourne Airport, the full time Store Person will play a pivotal role in managing the backend operations of our remarkable venues, including AFL Kitchen and Bar, Hudsons Coffee and Gusto Pasta Bar. This includes overseeing incoming stock deliveries, ensuring timely deliveries to the venues, quality checking supplies, enforcing proper food storage practices, maintaining an efficient inventory system, and performing ad hoc administration duties.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES (but not limited to)
- Ensure that all goods received exactly match the goods ordered and invoiced
- Unload and organise all goods received in an efficient and timely manner
- Accurately record all goods received and issue goods which have been properly requisitioned to the various stores in the airport
- Maintain a clean and safe Storeroom
- Ensure that all storage areas comply with WHS and products are correctly stored within their designated temperature zones
- Input all invoices into system ensuring any variances in stock/cost are highlighted to the venues and suppliers immediately
- Load and deliver products to venues via requisition order received on a timely basis
- Proactively look at measures to reduce over/short ordering, reduce wastage and consolidate multi-site orders to enhance best practice for the business
- Participate in monthly stock take ensuring all products are accounted for
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Minimum of 1 years' experience in a similar role
- Hospitality-related experience is advantageous
- Sound computer knowledge
- Delegation and time management skills
- Proactive approach and a mechanical aptitude
- A positive attitude and self-discipline
- Capability for heavy lifting and safely performing physical tasks
- Ability to work autonomously and strong teamwork skills
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
