Store Person

The role and duties

You will enjoy working in a team of 3 store people reporting into the store manager on site. Working on an underground hard rock mine site, the store supplies numerous parts and PPE for the workers on site. Your duties will include;-

• Cleaning the store
• Organising parts and stock
• Stocktaking

Roster & hours

• 2/2 Roster - 12 hour shifts
• Fly to site on the morning of day 1, fly home after night shift on shift 14
• FIFO from Brisbane, Townsville, Cairns (fly in on company time, fly home one yours)

The site and FIFO

This UG hard rock mine is located in N.QLD, in the Mt Isa region. With 5+ year contract with the principal miner the site offers;-

• Attractive, modern camp set up with good facilities (gym, wet mess etc)
• The camp is close to the mine, so limited travel in and out
• A high standard of food and quality canteen

Pre-requisites

You will have experience working within a warehousing or storeman based role previously and have a desire to forward your skills and experience in the UG mining industry. Other attributes will include; -

• Open cut or UG mining experience (highly regarded, not essential)
• A self-starter and able to work autonomously
• Forklift licence (desired but not essential)
• Team player and a great attitude towards work
