Your new company A large state government department who contributes to a safe, fair Tasmania is seeking a Store Person/Forklift Operator for an ongoing casual position with one of their teams. Your new role You will play a crucial role in daily operations. Your primary responsibility will be to handle the movement of goods within the store's facility. This includes unloading materials, organising stock, and ensuring the safe and efficient flow of products.
Responsibilities:
Unloading and Stacking: Safely unload materials and merchandise from incoming vehicles.
Stock Management: Locate and move stock of products to pallets or crates for storage or shipment.
Quality Control: Identify damage, report shortages, and address any quality deficiencies promptly.
Equipment Maintenance: Regularly inspect forklift machinery, ensuring proper functioning and safety.
Inventory Management: Maintain accurate records of inventory and activity logs.
Compliance: Adhere to company policies and legal guidelines Compliance: Adhere to company policies and legal guidelines
What you'll need to succeed A positive attitude and excellent communications skills will be key in this role. You will also need:
Proven experience as a forklift operator.
