We are seeking a retail leader in a busy newsagency andlottery store. As a leader, you have an impact on the culture of quality,cooperation and performance at our newsagency. You keep the store viable bybuilding a top-performing team that consistently improves and delightscustomers. You execute the newsagency goal by deftly managing commitments tocustomers, team members, and operations. There is no greater exhilaration thanexceeding growth and performance expectations in a constantly shifting retailmarket. You will work alongside a small collaborative team
Key responsibilities include
• Supervise the performance of the team to meet targets andensure adherence to standard operating procedures
• Lead, motivate and engage team members by applyingeffective people management processes and practices
• Conduct staff assessments of competence against jobstandards and criteria
• Build and promote a positive, efficient and highperforming team environment
• Complete administrative tasks in an accurate and timelymanner
• Focus on the continuous improvement of systems andprocesses
To be considered for this role you need to meet thefollowing selection criteria:
• More than 4 years of relevant retail managementexperience. Prior newsagency experience would beideal.
• Demonstrated experience in leading, coaching and managingteams to meet objectives
• Experience in effective performance management
• Strong planning and problem solving skills including theability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks
• Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain productiverelationships with the team and management
