About the role
Join part of our busy team reporting to the Stores Supervisor. This is a full time, permanent role, based in our Western Sydney warehouse.
It is an opportunity to build a long-term career with the possibility for advancement for a candidate with the right skill set.
Your key duties will include, but not be limited to:
- Receiving and despatching shipments within our ERP system
- Manual Picking, Packing and QC checking shipments from less than 1kg up to Large Pump Sets weighing several tonnes.
- Loading and unloading trucks
- Crating large set builds for the Building and Fire markets and Industrial markets.
- Using Ausvantage ERP (in house system), Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word and Transport company dispatch portals etc.
- Using forklifts, pallet jacks and other manual handling / lifting equipment.
- Stocktake / Cycle Counts and inventory control.
- Heavy lifting and manual handling.
- Ad hoc duties including general housekeeping as required.
The successful candidate must demonstrate:
- A strong work ethic based on efficiency, accuracy and ability to prioritise workload.
- Motivation to work as part of the team or autonomously with the aim to achieve the best possible out outcomes for the team.
- A commitment to adapt to the changing priorities in a production and distribution environment.
- Accept direction from supervisors or managers.
- Good handyperson skills and experience using power tools is essential.
- Reliability and commitment to do overtime when requested.
- Previous work experience examples to justify the above criteria.
About You
- Physically fit and healthy as manual handling and heavy lifting is a requirement for this role.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Highly motivated with the ability to plan, schedule and manage time efficiently.
- Have the commitment to adhere to all Kelair Pumps policies and procedures including Quality and WHSE.
- Customer focus and an ability to provide excellent customer service.
- Strong computer skills literacy including Outlook, Excel, Word and ERP systems (Ausvantage ERP would be an advantage).
- Forklift licence.
- While not essential, Warehouse Certificate III or Tertiary qualifications will be viewed favourably.
- Current Australian manual driver’s licence is preferred.
