Role Overview:
As a Storeperson, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficiency of your Wearhouse with team management and sound skills within the workplace. Your responsibilities will include handling products received or dispatched by stores, handling and packing goods, and, controlling the flow of goods into and out of warehouses and other storage facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Unloading and Loading inventory within the storage facility by assisting workers with offloading delivery trucks and carrying goods to the storage areas.
- Maintaining inventory of the vegetables and fruit within the warehouse and working in conjunction with management to ensure stock is replenished.
- Liaising with Suppliers to ensure the delivery of raw materials or goods and handle any shipping delays that could affect the supply of goods to customers.
- Monitor work zone activity and report any safety hazards or incidents.
- Communicate effectively with crew members, supervisors, and members of the public.
- Adhere to all relevant safety standards and procedures.
Requirements:
- Previous experience within the fruit and vegetable industry is desirable.
- Valid Forklift License accreditation.
- Must be able to work from 2:00AM - 9:00AM
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Physically fit and able to stand for extended periods.
- Must be able to lift up to 20KGs and over.
- Willingness to follow safety protocols and procedures at all times.
- Current driver's license.
