The Role
As a vital member of our Hemmant team, you will be responsible for ensuring all goods delivered are received, stored, picked, dispatched or delivered safely, accurately and on a timely basis. A normal day will include completing pre-start checks of the forklift, pick pack orders for customers, safely loading products onto our company vehicles, delivering products to customers and collecting products from suppliers, unloading containers, assembling products and keeping the warehouse safe and tidy.
Key Criteria
- Possession of a valid driver’s license and Forklift/High Risk Work License is essential
- Proven experience in all aspects of warehouse operations
- Previous experience with stock takes and /or cycle counting desirable
- Ability to work as part of a high performing team
- Ability to work unsupervised and make effective and safe decisions within authority levels
- Physical fitness to manage the manual handling aspects of the role.
- High level of personal presentation and customer service skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication, as well as numerical skills.
- Good level of computer literacy
