Storeperson | Defence Contract

Through a mature workforce of 3000+ employees combined with a national network of Small & Medium Enterprises, Indigenous and Veteran owned businesses, we deliver complex maintenance, estate management and support services to approximately 100,000 Australian Defence Force personnel, through our primary contracts that include: Defence Base Services, Defence Maintenance, National Clothing Store Services and Land 8120.

The Role

Join Skout Solutions / Ventia in safely operating forklift vehicles, as well as picking and packing duties at our facility based in the Ipswich Region. This is a temp-to-perm opportunity, where you will essentially be creating multiple kits/pallets ready for despatch!

Key responsibilities of the position will include, but not limited to :

• complete orders by selecting goods from shelves and checking them off appropriate lists
• package and send out completed orders to customers
• move heavy packages using forklift machinery
• count and record the number of items in store during stocktake
• Ensure competency skills and licences are maintained and attend appropriate training
• Participate in monthly Toolbox Meetings
• Maintaining housekeeping of stores areas

Qualifications, Skills and Experience

• Obtain a valid Forklift License
• Immediate availability
• Experience in a similar role or warehousing experience, will be highly regarded
• Experience in the defence industry will be highly regarded, but not essential.

Due to the project, you must be an Australian Citizen and be able to obtain an Australian Defence Security Clearance
