Astley's Plumbing and Hardware are looking for an experienced Storeperson / Receivals to join our growing team - with a full-time employment opportunity on offer.
The Storeperson / Receivals role will be responsible for the policy and procedure on all goods received to the store. This role requires organising deliveries to customer sites and returns to suppliers. You must reconcile back invoices or delivery paperwork to deliveries raising claims on shortfalls/ damaged items.
Responsibilities:
- Receive and dispatch goods.
- Enter paperwork into system.
- Raise claims on shortfall deliveries / damaged stock.
- Check off deliveries to invoices or delivery notes.
- Liaise with sales team on items delivered.
- Maintain a safe work environment.
- Helping customers
- Check every delivery item against delivery docket or invoice.
- Assist customers onsite to collect goods.
- Pick and pack goods according to store process or procedure.
- Invoice out all items taken from store.
- Communicate all fast moving stock to procurement to ensure no lost sales.
Knowledge and experience required:
- Proven working experience as a Storeperson / Receivals
- Record of successful distribution and logistics management
- Demonstrable ability to lead and manage staff
- Proficient in standard software
- Excellent analytical, problem solving and organisational skills
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple projects
- Forklift licence is desirable, not essential
- Ability to pass pre-employment functional assessment
