About the Role & the Team
At Port Phillip Prison, the Stores Department play a critical role in ensuring the prison is able to provide consumable support to prisoners and staff.
Reporting to the Stores Supervisor (Rodney), the Stores Person position facilitates the delivery of goods within Port Phillip Prison. This role involves interacting with both prisoners and staff, requiring good communication and efficient resource management of inventory.
Responsibilities
The core responsibilities of this role are to:
- Assist in the physical stock take of all supply items
- Participate in maintaining the good order of the store area including cleaning
- Collect paperwork relating to prisoner requests, and input data electronically
- Deliver prisoner Canteens / Consumables to units within the prison complex
- Verify that prisoner money is available to fill canteen order
The essential requirements from you:
- Current driver's license
- Current knowledge of OHS
- Desired - Forklift License
