Our client, based in Mt Isa is seeking experienced Storeperson for ongoing day shift Monday to Friday, 38 hour with optional Overtime.
About the Role:
This role primarily exists to provide maximum customer satisfaction by ensuring all orders are picked, packed, processed and assembled promptly and accurately. Engage in high level customer service that is expected from Hastings Deering and strictly adhering with workplace health and safety policies and procedure.
Your duties will include but are not limited to:
- Maintain and maximise efficiency within the warehouse through the effective team
- participation of the put away and picking functions, ensuring system inventory accuracy and system targets are met or exceeded
- Comply and maintain accurate and saleable inventory by regular cycle counts as per cycle count plan, recommending and arranging protection of inventory within budget constraints and establishing and adhering to inspection plan as per Hastings Deering guidelines
- Assist in the success of the warehouse function by participating in general warehouse activities including stock takes, maintenance, improvements, allocation of work directed from leading hand, administration, generation of information required for monthly reordering consumables and taking appropriate action where required
- Assist in the processing of Caterpillar remanufactured core returns as required
- Complete hydraulic hose and fitting assembly as required
- Research and consult parts books, IRM’s and Hose Assembly consist listing for procedures and specifications to ensure correct hose assembly detail
- Contribute to the provision of quality within the department by personally adhering to the company’s quality policies and system
- Contribute to the provision of a safe working environment and minimise lost time and costs due to accident and injury by personally adhering to the Company’s occupational health, safety and environmental policies and programmes
- Facilitate continuous improvement by recommending, and after approval, implementing systems and processes to improve the efficiency of the warehouse area and reduce stock adjustments
- Enhance Hastings Deering’s reputation as a preferred supplier by ensuring the quality, timely and safe delivery of materials and services to internal and external customers
To be successful for this role you will need the following:
- Licences: Vehicle (class B), Forklift
- School certificate plus TAFE certificate
- OH&S courses
- Strong customer focus, good communication and negotiating skills
- Strong commitment to quality control and working to schedules
- Ability to work within a team and unsupervised with excellent time
management skills.
