Sutherland Shire Council is one of the largest local government areas in NSW and is custodian to over $2.8 billion of infrastructure. Asset strategy and delivery are key to enabling long-term asset management across the portfolio and driving efficient and quality planning, design and construction of infrastructure projects over a four-year program worth more than $300 million.
This role will support Council in setting itself up for the future with an increasing ability to drive strategic asset management through data-driven decision making.
Things We’ll Trust You With:

  • Being a part of the planning, design and the delivery of strategic capital upgrades or new infrastructure to support adopted service strategies.
  • Leading and managing the successful delivery of strategic asset outcomes including the asset management framework and systems, project management office and catchment and waterways management.
  • Creating and maintaining a strong organisational culture that is focused on achieving positive outcomes for Council and the community.
  • Utilising your highly developed skills in thinking strategically, lateral problem solving, sound stakeholder management to successfully facilitate positive outcomes.
Things You’ll Do:
  • This role will support Council in setting itself up for the future with an increasing ability to drive strategic asset management through data-driven decision making.
  • Be part of an important business unit collaborating across Council with business partners and service managers to mitigate strategic risks and deliver an ambitious improvement plan, with the following three areas of focus: Optimal Service Levels, Assets for Now and the Future, Asset Risk and Resilience.
  • Contribute in a meaningful way to the local community through the delivery of new play spaces, sporting fields, parks, and buildings along with transport infrastructure and aquatic upgrades.
