Strategic Partnerships Lead

  • Full-time Permanent role
  • Based in Southern Sydney, WFH 1 day per week
  • Contribute to the future impact of a highly regarded family services provider
This reputable organisation based in Southern Sydney, delivers evidence-based programs and services to enhance family capacity, improve parenting skills, and ensure safety for all members. As leaders in family support, they offer comprehensive child, youth, and domestic violence services, alongside national education, and training, fostering safe homes, strong connections and opportunities for families to thrive.
 
The Role
  
As Strategic Partnerships Lead you will identify and build relationships with philanthropists, investors, and a variety of local small and medium sized companies across all industries to secure partnerships and sponsorship opportunities. You will also drive forward a national fee for service product, engaging larger corporates for long term partnerships and agreements. There will be a strong focus on new business development, balanced with effectively retaining and nurturing existing partner and funder relationships.
  
You will utilise your experience of creating and driving strategic non-government income as you develop and drive the partnerships and philanthropy strategy. This is an autonomous, key role that will impact the financial diversification and sustainability of this not-for-profit organisation.
  
In this newly created role, you will be supported by the leadership team and Board with coaching and mentoring as you proactively navigate this complex business and immerse yourself in learning about their programs, services and funding strategies.

Your Skills and Attributes 
  • Demonstrated success in building and retaining strategic financial partnerships, including structuring compelling beneficial offerings & agreements
  • Confident working towards & reporting on activity KPIs and financial & pipeline targets.
  • Self-motivated, autonomous & confident, balanced with a desire to collaborate across teams
  • Great interpersonal skills - build relationships & present face-to-face & virtually
  • Strong written communications to create proposals & partner impact reports
  • A strong appreciation for brand, marketing & business development strategies
  • A Growth mindset, willingness to learn, adapt & receive feedback
  • Experience working in, or with, the NFP or Community Services Sector is highly regarded
  • A commitment to approaching your personal and professional life with compassion, integrity, courage, growth & learning
