About Us 

Serco has a dedicated team of over 600 people supporting operations at Fiona Stanley Hospital and works in close partnership with the hospital leadership, WA Health, clinicians, and staff to deliver essential non-clinical facilities management, ICT and HR managed services. Our specialist team designs, manages and optimises the integrated services and are critical to the ongoing delivery of clinical services in Western Australia's largest and most digitally enabled public healthcare facility.

About the Role 

As a Strategic Procurement Manager at Fiona Stanley Hospital, you will lead the Strategic Procurement and Purchasing team, collaborating closely with the AsPac Procurement team and the offshore Accenture Centre of Excellence. Your role is pivotal in creating a robust financial control environment and implementing best practices in procurement and subcontractor management. You will build strong relationships with strategic partners, ensuring compliance, efficiency, and the delivery of exceptional procurement services that support our healthcare mission. 
What you’ll be doing  

  • Leading and motivating the Strategic Procurement and Purchasing team
  • Implementing best practices in procurement, including category management and transactional purchasing 
  • Managing subcontractor relationships, ensuring compliance and performance
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with Strategic Procurement partners 
  • Delivering procurement services that ensure profitability and compliance
  • Acting as the Procurement Functional Business Partner for the Community Services Business Unit and Health category
  • Collaborating with stakeholders to drive procurement strategies and support business requirements
  • Reporting savings benefits and driving value from supplier relationships

You thrive in collaborative settings and have a proven track record of delivering innovative procurement solutions that enhance service quality and efficiency. 
Your ideal skills & experience  

  • Strong business acumen and ability to understand complex business needs
  • Experience in leading procurement teams in large, complex organisations
  • Track record of category management, savings delivery, and continuous improvement
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence at multiple levels 
  • Bachelor’s degree, post-graduate qualification in a relevant area, or professional qualification (MCIPS) is desirable
