Our mission is to increase the recognition of Indigenous knowledges and perspectives, the promotion of teaching and research in Indigenous studies, the employment of Indigenous staff, increasing the participation of, and opportunities for, Indigenous students and engagement with Indigenous communities and issues.About the RoleFlinders University is seeking a Strategic Programs Coordinator to join their team within the Office of Indigenous Strategy and Engagement. This role will provide high level coordination and strategic advice in relation to the University’s Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) and Indigenous strategies across the University.The Strategic Programs Coordinator will have a strong focus on the implementation of the RAP, Indigenous higher education strategies and promoting Indigenous student success at Flinders University. The successful candidate will oversee and guide a small administrative team located at the Bedford Park campus.Furthermore, the Strategic Programs Coordinator will:Foster relationships with College and Portfolio stakeholders and hold membership on committees that contribute to and enhance reconciliation and Indigenous education, participation, and success.Contribute to reports for the Pro Vice Chancellor Indigenous and Senior Manager as required.Lead, train, and supervise a team of dynamic staff, and supporting staff development through the annual Performance Review and Development cycle.SA Identified Positions: The filling of this position is intended to constitute a special/equal opportunity measure under section 8(1) of the Racial Discrimination Act 1975 (Cth), and section 65 of the Equal Opportunity Act 1984 (SA). You will have experience in project management or coordination, as well as excellent time-management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
