About the RoleEssity is seeking an accomplished Strategic Sourcing Manager to lead our logistics procurement efforts, encompassing ocean freight, land freight, 3rd Party Warehousing, and International Freight Forwarding.
In this role, you will develop and implement sourcing strategies to deliver Logistics services at optimal costs, ensuring working capital efficiency, compliance with Essity procedures, and fostering strong vendor partnerships. You will negotiate terms, manage supplier tenders, execute risk management strategies, and maintain comprehensive knowledge databases.
What you will be doing
Developing and implementing sourcing strategies aligned with Essity's business needs
Negotiating agreements with suppliers to ensure continuity of essential supplies
Building and maintaining relationships with key suppliers
Identifying cost reduction opportunities
Improving Essity's total cost of supply
Implementing global and regional sourcing strategies
Leading cost-saving programs across all Regional sites
What you will bring
5+ years in Strategic Sourcing and category management
Proven track record in category management and sourcing strategies
Strong negotiation skills for favourable supplier terms
Proficient in data analysis, Excel, and decision-making
Excellent communication and relationship management
Leadership in capacity projects and process improvement
Knowledgeable in risk management and compliance
Expertise in procurement regulations and environmental standards
Strategic thinker with implementation skills
Strong problem-solving ability and project management
Detail-oriented, focused on continuous improvement and KPIs
